“Ivey League” is a poker teaching and training site operating since 2014 as a college. There are three plans for learners to choose: no cost, $9 per month, and $75 per month. Many professional couches are participating in the project, altogether over 30 of them, including such prominent figures as Patrik Antonius, Chris Kruk, and Cole South. IveyPoker, Phil Ivey’s online poker hub, recently announced that it will soon be launching Ivey League, a new poker training site. The site is currently up, but all that is available is a landing.

IveyPoker, Phil Ivey’s online poker hub, recently announced that it will soon be launching Ivey League, a new poker training site. The site is currently up, but all that is available is a landing page that gives people the ability to sign-up to be notified when the site officially goes live. It describes itself as a site that “…will help you learn to play poker with live play videos and in-depth poker theory presentations.”

IveyPoker already owns the poker training site, LeggoPoker, which it bought in February. At that time, IveyPoker said in a press release that the “…acquisition of LeggoPoker will serve as the foundation for a new IveyPoker product offering called Ivey League – a subscription-based poker teaching site featuring training videos and content from Team Ivey, a network of the world’s best professional poker players.”

The site also launched a social poker app on Facebook this year, a free-to-play online poker game. The press release from the LeggoPoker acquisition also mentioned the poker app before it went live: “Ivey League is the logical next-step for players after they’ve received initial instruction from the IveyPoker app….”

  1. Phil Ivey calls in the Small Blind. The Big Blind squeezes to HK$200,000. Jungleman and Phil both call. Preflop Analysis. Jungleman’s low suited one-gapper is toward the bottom of his range — in other words, one of the worst hands he would raise — but it’s fine at this (quite deep) stack depth.
  2. Phillip Dennis Ivey Jr. (born February 1, 1977) is an American professional poker player who has won ten World Series of Poker bracelets, one World Poker Tour title, and appeared at nine World Poker Tour final tables. Ivey is regarded by numerous poker observers and contemporaries as the best all-around player in the world. In 2017, he was elected to the Poker Hall of Fame.
  3. Phil Ivey Teaches Poker Strategy (Masterclass) Through this course, Phil Ivey shares his poker strategy and gives you privileged access to his mental game. You will learn poker strategy, new poker tips and reviewing poker hands. The lessons cover topics like Preflop and Blind Defense, Betting Tactics, Bluffing, Postflop, Deepstacked play, Table.

When the app launched in July, Ivey said that he wanted to accelerate players’ poker education so that they would not get discouraged when making the jump to real money poker. Important to that learning process is the ability to play lots and lots of hands, so IveyPoker does allow for multi-tabling. Members of Team Ivey also make appearances at the tables, so players can improve their skills by competing against those better (presumably) than them.

Speaking of Team Ivey, it appears that Ivey Poker is taking the old Full Tilt Poker approach to building its stable of pros: sign EVERYONE. It appears that any successful or somewhat successful poker player that wasn’t already locked into a contract with a poker site is a member of Team Ivey. A sampling of IveyPoker’s pros: 2012 WSOP Main Event champ Greg Merson, Patrik Antonius, Andrew Lichtenberger, Jennifer Harman, Dan Smith, Allen “Chainsaw” Kessler, Aaron Jones, and Christian Harder, to name a few. Oh, Phil Ivey, as well.
