Grand National 2021 Free Bet Offers

It should come as no surprise to know that there are many free bet offers created around the Grand National. Of course, it is a time when many people are looking to bet, so the offers out there are taking advantage of by many punters on the day and beforehand.

However, these offers are not available all of the time, and on the day of the race, some bookmakers will choose to not have their offer available. This is because they want to encourage people who are betting on sport throughout the year, rather than those who bet on just one day.

If you see a big Grand National betting offer that you like and it is available, make sure you claim the offer before it disappears. When taking any free bet offer, make sure you look at the terms and conditions attached to it, so you know what you need to complete to claim the offer.

Grand National Betting Offers for Existing Customers

When you think of Grand National betting offers, you instantly think of welcome offers that new players can take advantage of. However, that is no longer the case, because bookmakers are beginning to see the value of customer retention. You may not be able to get a big free bet as an existing customer, but you will be able to get something when you bet and here are three potential Grand National offers for existing customers.

Best Odds Guaranteed

This is one of the most common and most-used horse racing offers, and vital if you want success as a punter. The offer runs on the day of the race, from a selected time which will vary between the bookmakers. If you place a bet and the offer is on, make sure you take the price.

This is then locked in, you know that is the lowest price you will get paid out on. However, if the SP is bigger then this is where the offer kicks in and you will be paid out at the bigger SP price, which is great news.

For example – you place your Grand National bet and take the price of 10/1 in the morning.

If you don’t have this offer, you will be paid out at 10/1 regardless of what happens with the SP.

However, let’s say the SP is 16/1, if you have this offer, you are getting paid out at 16/1, rather than the 10/1 you had taken. This means six points extra profit, all for doing nothing other than betting with a bookmaker that offers the best odds guaranteed promotion.

Non-Runner No Bet

Grand National Online Betting Offers

This promotion is for those who are placing their Grand National bets ahead of the day. If you bet on the day and your horse is an non-runner, you will get your money back from the bookmaker as standard. However, if you place the bet in advance, this is not always the case, unless your bookmaker covers you by offering the non-runner no bet promotion.

This promotion should be sought out by anyone looking to bet early on the Grand National, it is a great cover in case anything goes wrong. There is always the chance of a horse missing the race due to injury, sickness or something else, this is the way to cover yourself.

Enhanced Places on the Day

The final betting promotion for the Grand National that existing customers can use is enhanced place terms. This is almost always the number of places paid on the race. Standard each way terms state that each way bets are to be paid out on the first four places.

However, many bookmakers run a promotion for each way bets where they will pay out on the first five home, sometimes even the first six. This means more places paid, and more chance of winning.

For example, if you bet each way and your horse finishes in 5th place. A bookmaker paying standard terms will see this as a losing bet, while someone paying enhanced places down to 5thor more will pay you as a winning bet.

This offer really can be the difference between winning and losing on the race.

What Bookmakers Have Already Withdrawn Their Offers?

Some bookmakers will withdraw their welcome offers on Grand National day. This is because they want to encourage long-term customers to sign up with them. If you want to claim a welcome offer for the Grand National, you need to do this before they disappear.

These are the bookmakers who have withdrawn their offers so far:

  • Hopa
  • Karamba

Should You Bet Win or Each Way on the Grand National?

Many punters who place a wager on the Grand National are unfamiliar with horse racing. These may be people who would normally bet on other sports, or those who wouldn’t bet on anything else at all. Whatever your situation, the same question is asked by many. Should you bet win or each way on the Grand National?

There is no right or wrong answer here, many people will take each side, so the best option is to explain the benefits of each one, so you can decide which one suits your betting needs.

When you bet to win, you are doing exactly what it says, choosing which horse you think will win the race. If you are second, or worse, you get nothing back. The benefit of betting to win is that your full stake is on a horse to win, if you win, you get the full odds. You may also choose to split your money across two horses, rather than picking one horse in an each way bet.

With an each way bet, as well as betting on a horse to win, you are betting on it to place, so this is two bets in total, and 2x your unit stake. However, the chances of winning are much greater, as you will be paid out on the first four horses as standard, but maybe five or six if you bet with a bookmaker offering enhanced each way terms.

If you are betting on a big outsider, the returns for an each way bet that places can still be very significant, so make sure to factor this in also.

The choice is yours, but armed with those facts and different ones, you should be able to make an informed choice before you place your bets.

What is Each Way Betting?

Grand National Betting Offers

Before we start talking about the Grand National betting offers, let’s remind ourselves of the structure and organisation of the race itself. We also include a small resume of the event’s history in order to see what has changed over the years. Afterward, we discuss some of the most attractive Grand National betting offers for this year’s race.

As you already know Grand National is the crucial horse racing event in the UK since 1839. If we take into account the race’s long history, it’s not surprising at all that there are so many remarkable stories related to this event. We are telling some of them in our article.

A brief gallop through the 2021 Grand National

With the Grand National 2020 cancelled due to the coronavirus, the next Grand National 2021 will be held on Saturday, 10th of April. UK bookmakers have one of their busiest days since many bettors wanted to place a bet on their favourites. The steeplechase that was held on Saturday is the pinnacle of the three-day festival that starts on April 8th with Opening Day, and it’ll be followed by Ladies’ Day on 9th of April.

Anyway, the final race is the most popular one. At 5:15 PM, forty horses started to gallop over 4 miles 514 yards jumping 30 fences over two laps. The excitement was enormous. Each year there are many different favourites, but the outcome of the race pretty often remains highly unpredictable. Every time, many horses fall and don’t make it till the end.

The race is a real showdown for the participants. If we take into account the circumstances combined with the distance of the race, we can see why it has been called “the ultimate test of horse and rider”.

We can see all the reasons why this event is prominent in British culture. Thanks to its long and rich tradition, it’s popular among the public who usually don’t follow nor bet on horse races. It is estimated that around 8.5 million people from the UK had watched the race and in total 600 million people worldwide.

Grand National Winners

Winner of 2018 and 2019 was Tiger Roll ridden by Davy Russell and trained by Gordon Elliot. The horse is one of this year’s favourites too. However, it’s pretty rare to see the same horse winning a few times a row. That is something that not so many horses managed to do.

When it comes to successive victories, we must mention Red Rum who entered the history with his triple triumphs during the 70s. Until now, this horse is the only one to have won the race three times, in 1973, 1974, and 1977. He finished 2nd in 1975 and 1976. Now you can see why Red Rum is one of the most memorable Grand National winners of all time.

There are some other horses who earned themselves a place in the record books. For example, a horse named Manifesto is the horse that appeared the most in Grand Nationals. He appeared eight times between 1895 and 1899, and he finished twice as a winner.

Bruce Hobbs holds a record for the youngest winning jockey. At the age of 17, he won the Grand National in 1939 with Battleship, the smallest horse ever to win. On the other hand, Dick Saunders, aged 48 in 1982 is the oldest successful participant who managed to finish the race as a winner. It was his first and only Grand National race.

Jenny Pitman was the first woman to train a Grand National winning horse. In 1983 her horse Corbiere won the race at Aintree, and in 1995 her horse Royal Athlete finished exactly the same.

Grand National History

Even though 1939 is the official year of the begging of the event, there is a debate between certain historians. Some of them claim that the first official Grand National Race was held in 1836 and that it was won by a horse named the Duke. The Duke won again in 1837, while some other horse won the race in 1838.

However, according to some other opinions, these three races didn’t take place at Aintree Racecourse which has hosted the race since 1839, and that’s the reason why we can’t relate them to the Grand National. Until today the 1839 race is considered to be the inaugural race.

Grand National Betting Markets and Promotions

When it comes to the Grand National betting offers the choice is pretty much extensive. After all, this is the biggest betting horse race on the planet. Every year, the day after the Grand National is over, the bookmakers start to price up the odds for the next year’s event, even though there’s still a whole year ahead.

With an array of bookmakers, it’s easy to find suitable Grand National betting offers even in the ante-post markets. The most famous sportsbooks in the industry always provide some special promotions for the event. Don’t forget to look around and check the offers of different bookmakers. Some of them include even special Grand National Free Bets.
